12 person Big Band led by Hard Rubber's John Korsrud. John Korsrud has been a cornerstone of the Vancouver creative music scene for over 30 years. On April 12, he'll be debuting a brand new big band: Casual Sports Outfit. This group has been created to perform John's original music, and will feature some of the city's most exciting musicians. This performance is part of Very Big Band, a new monthly series at the American presented by Infidels Jazz.

Ron Samworth & Andre Lachance) will peform music from seminal 1970's Miles albums like Bitches Brew & On the Corner, and Star People (led by Feven Kidane) will perform music from great 1970's albums like Amandla & We Want Miles.
