Many people step into committee roles without a clear understanding of their responsibilities under the Associations Incorporation Act 2015 (WA). That can leave individuals, and organisations, exposed. This session focuses on the basics you need to know to stay compliant - explained in plain English. We’ll cover: What it means to be a committee or board member, Key responsibilities under the Act, The roles of office holders (Chair, Secretary, Treasurer), AGMs, SGMs and financial reporting. This is not a technical or overly detailed session. It’s designed to give you a clear, practical understanding of your role, so you can step into it with confidence. There’s plenty of opportunity to ask questions along the way, in a supportive, small-group setting.
