Learn to layer a landscape in watercolour with this hands-on painting workshop! Led by local artist Oriana Teasdale, kids will take inspiration from exhibitions at SAM, discovering everything from washes of colour to creating texture to make their own unique watercolour painting.

Get glazing and decorate your own weird and wonderful wonky pot in this hands-on workshop! Kids will explore ceramics from the SAM Collection for inspiration before diving into decorating their own pre-made pot, experimenting with colours and shapes to produce their own uniquely designed ceramic. Each piece will be professionally clear-glazed and kiln-fired after the workshop, ready for collection once finished. This workshop is suitable for kids aged 5-12. All participants must be accompanied by an adult.

Join Silver Rainbows at the Food Store for a cuppa and brunch!

Get behind the wheel in this exciting pottery workshop for teens! Over two hours, participants will learn the basics of working with clay on a pottery wheel, experimenting with forming simple vessels to fire in the kiln. Ceramics can be very messy - participants are encouraged to bring a towel and wear clothing they don’t mind getting dirty. Please note: This workshop is designed for teens aged 13-17 years. Price includes glazing and firing services.
Whether you’re a seasoned Picasso or can barely draw a stick figure after two wines, you’re in safe (and slightly sassy) hands. We’ll guide you step-by-step through creating our fabulously cheeky artwork topped off with a glitter-paint coating on your artworks heels — all while you sip, giggle and enjoy live drag performances throughout the night.
