Join us in Ocean Grove for a hands-on butter-making workshop inside the Lard Ass Butter factory, as part of the Taste of Geelong program. Hosted by founder Monica Cavarzan, this immersive experience will take you through the fundamentals of cultured butter and ghee making — from transforming freshly churned cultured butter into rich, golden ghee, to creating your own flavoured butter blends. You’ll get hands-on with traditional wooden butter paddles, shaping your butter into a unique design while learning about the craft, flavour, and the simple joy of making good food properly. This is a tactile, small-group experience set in a working butter factory — not a demo, but a chance to actually do it yourself. Each guest will take home a jar of freshly made ghee and their own flavoured butter to enjoy — whether spread over a warm baguette or used to elevate your next meal.
