Join us at Bluebird House in South Geelong for a relaxed and creative Sea Glass Art Workshop designed especially for adults. Using beautiful, rescued sea glass that has been naturally shaped and smoothed by the ocean, you’ll create a truly unique framed piece with its own story to tell. Whether you’re feeling inspired or simply keen to try something new, this workshop offers a welcoming space to unwind, connect, and explore your creativity. By the end of the workshop, your finished artwork will be complete and ready to take home. Light snacks, along with tea and coffee, will be available to enjoy as you create. No experience necessary, just bring yourself and your imagination! All materials are provided; however, if you have any special sea glass pieces you’ve collected yourself and would like to incorporate into your artwork, please feel free to bring them along! Workshops are limited to 15 people.
Celebrate the Neighbourhood exhibition at Waurn Ponds Library as it reaches its final stages. The exhibition reflects many perspectives on what the Deakin Library means to our community, presenting the Library as more than a place to study, and as a place of creativity, belonging and connection. Visitors to the exhibition are invited to participate by decorating a paper house and adding it to a growing collaborative installation: a paper neighbourhood reflecting the vibrancy of our community. This event is a chance to see the exhibition in its final stages, meet and applaud the student artists whose work is displayed, and recognise the many students who have helped build the paper neighbourhood.
