Victoria's Largest Permaculture Food Forest! Located on the grounds of Yarra Valley Estate, the Edible Forest is a thriving one-acre permaculture food forest. Every plant is chosen with care—for its ability to nourish, heal, attract wildlife, or enrich the soil. Our guided tours take you through this unique space, where you’ll learn about fascinating plants and discover practical ways to grow and use them at home. Accessible to all, this experience combines sustainability, education, and the simple joy of connecting with nature. After the tour, stop by our nursery to take home a piece of the forest and start your own sustainable journey. Parents are required to actively supervise children at all times.

Get your hands dirty and join us for a day of planting trees, shrubs and ground cover on this beautiful property in the Yarra Ranges. Your hosts need help planting seedlings to protect waterways, improve ecosystems and create habitat for wildlife. Parents/caregivers please ensure each child and each adult accompanying has a ticket under the parents/caregivers ticket. Planting days are a great way to meet new people, learn about the environment and is guaranteed to give you the warm and fuzzies at the end of the day. Morning tea and a hearty lunch will be provided.
