Learn about managing cattle and sheep nutrition for optimal performance, including managing the autumn feed gap. This interactive workshop will focus on some of the key principles of managing livestock nutritional requirements throughout a production year. We’re stripping back the jargon to give you practical, no-nonsense tools to manage your livestock with confidence. The day will cover: Meeting nutritional needs of sheep/cattle in pregnancy and lactation, Livestock health management, Decision making points for confinement feeding and managing the autumn feed gap, Feed budgeting, Condition scoring practical, An opportunity to ask questions in a supportive environment, and build a network of local women. Part of the workshop will take place outdoors, please bring sun protection and wear suitable shoes. The day includes morning tea and lunch.
