Come and join First Nations educators, Deb Belyea and Fiona Mann Bobongie, for a 2-day workshop into Cultural Responsiveness on Country. This workshop is essential for all educators to learn from First Nations Educators and leaders in their field, Deb Belyea and Fiona Mann Bobongie. With over 50 years of combined educational experience, from classroom teaching in remote Indigenous communities to leadership expertise, these two Indigenous academics will invite you into their cultural lens to understand the role of community when planning curriculum.
Join us at Gladstone Carers Hub to create, connect and craft with other carers. Our In-Person Peer Support program gives carers the opportunity to take a break and build connections with other people who understand the joys and challenges of being in a caregiving role. Work on your own projects or try something new - crocheting, knitting, painting and all things creative! The program will be delivered over 10 weekly sessions from 10am - 12pm on Mondays starting from 13th April, 2026. Carers are encouraged to attend all sessions to get the most out of the experience. Tea and coffee will also be provided - please include details of any food allergies or other special dietary requirements with your RSVP.

Our In-Person Peer Support program gives carers the opportunity to take time out to recharge and connect with others while sharing tips on how to manage stress, improve sleep, strengthen social connections and develop effective communication to better meet your needs.
Mr Evan Pritchard, VI Dan, will be conducting an International Instructor Course on 17th, 18th & 19th April 2026. ITFA Rockhampton will be hosting the first ITFA International Instructor Course (IIC) for 2026. The IIC will run on Friday 17th, Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th April 2026, taught by ITFA Rockhampton Chief Instructor and Examiner Mr Evan Pritchard, VI Dan. These events are open to all practitioners regardless of affiliation, from 2nd Kup (Red Belt) and above. There will be 5 sessions over the weekend as follows: Friday 17th April: 2-5pm Instructor training, Friday 17th April: Black Belt Dinner (Details TBC), Saturday 18th April: Morning Session ITFA IIC Session 1, Saturday 18th April: Afternoon Session ITFA IIC Session 2, Sunday 19th April: Morning Session ITFA IIC Session 3, Sunday 19th April: Afternoon Session ITFA Black Belt Grading/Pre-Grading for next IIC. Registration will be from 8.30am for the morning sessions on both days. Line up at 8.45am for a prompt 9am start. Registration for the afternoon sessions will be from 1.30pm, line up 1.45pm for a prompt 2pm start. Morning sessions run from 9am-12pm, Afternoon sessions run from 2pm-5pm. Early bird rates are available before 6pm Saturday 28th March 2026. Closing date for ALL applications is Saturday 11th April at 6pm.
