Extend your knowledge of core principles involved in the assessment, management and prevention of wounds. Building Blocks Wound Care Education Workshop - Gladstone Presented by Dr Michelle Gibb, Nurse Practitioner of Wound Management and Founder and Director of Wound Specialist Services. Focusing on the basics of wound care, Dr. Michelle Gibb will be discussing the principles of wound assessment and dressing selection. There will be plenty of practical workshop activities to enhance the learning process, as well as opportunities to engage with industry partners. Attendees will be able to use the time spent in the seminar towards their Continuing Professional Development (5.5 hours of CPD). Attendees will also take part in a Trade Show event before, during and after the seminar to meet with suppliers from a wide range of wound care and wound care adjacent industries.
Unlock your inner artist and join with other carers to create your own masterpiece. The program will be delivered over 10 fortnightly sessions from 9:30am - 11:30am on Wednesdays starting from 15th April, 2026. To be eligible to attend this event, participants must be registered with Carer Gateway (we can assist with new registrations for eligible participants).

Last Aid is a 4-hour international standardised introductory level education program and the first in Australia. This course is for all members of the community, including healthcare workers. You need no training or experience in the space. The way we care for our dying is a significant indicator of the kind of society we are. Serious illness, dying, death and grief are a part of life. This education program is for members of the community, community groups, businesses, retirees, who want to improve their confidence and skills in supporting carers, family members, colleagues or people experiencing a serious illness, dying, death or grief. Topics covered include dying as a normal part of life, planning ahead, relieving suffering, and final goodbyes. Places limited (includes light lunch): Free for people living in Gladstone and surrounding areas. Registrations close 9am on the 16 April for catering purposes.
