Find the best art events and make the most of your time in Montville. From art to environment and more, we have the biggest event range and best discovery experience, there's something for everyone.

Explore the expressive beauty of loose watercolour landscapes in this relaxed beginner friendly workshop for adults and teens. In this session, you’ll learn how to allow water and pigment to move freely across the paper to create soft horizons, distant landforms, and beautiful organic textures. We'll learn ways to capture the essence of a landscape through big shapes and spontaneous movement rather than fine detail. We'll explore capturing different landscapes such rolling hills, misty forests and lake scenes. We’ll experiment with salt to create beautiful natural textures, and use sticks and other tools to add expressive marks and character to the landscapes.
Discover the joy of painting outdoors in Russel Park with plant-based watercolours. Learn watercolour techniques and the benefits of painting outdoors in a loose and expressive style. All materials provided.
Transform a paperback copy of Fourth Wing into a stunning custom hardback you’ll be proud to have on your shelf.

As we move into the cooler months, join us for an expressive ink and wash workshop where we’ll capture the atmosphere of Autumn and winter trees. Using the warm tones of autumn and the cool tones of winter, we’ll explore how colour, line, and texture create mood and character in nature. We’ll begin with watercolour washes, texture, and expressive mark-making, experimenting with salt and natural tools like sticks and dip pens. At the end, we’ll add ink to our work, learning all about walnut ink — how it’s made, its beautiful warm brown tone, and how to use it to add depth and character. What you’ll learn: Wet-on-wet techniques and expressive mark-making Creating texture with salt and sticks How to use walnut ink for tone and depth Capturing the mood of Autumn and Winter through colour choices Great for all skill levels, including beginners. No experience needed — just curiosity and creativity. All materials are provided. Bring your lunch or enjoy one of Montville’s lovely cafés during the break.
