Rumors is a 1988 famed farce, about eight guests who arrive at a 10th wedding anniversary party, only to find the host, a prominent government official, has been shot in the ear and the hostess is missing. As each couple arrives, they become involved in the cover-up to hide the scandal and the escalating confusion, which leads to a series of misunderstandings, lies, and comedic chaos. The play is a comedy of errors that revolves around miscommunication and the frantic attempts to control a story that keeps getting more complicated.
