Contribute to the preservation of our natural heritage while enjoying the outdoors and connecting with like-minded individuals. A Natural Area Council officer is in attendance.
Join the City of Gold Coast for a bush regeneration session, learning weed control techniques and plant identification. Restore our native forest and provide habitat for wildlife. A Council bush regenerator will guide the event and share their expertise. Strictly for ages 16 and above.
The 2026 ManaSprings Rafiki Charity Lunch is being held at The Star, Broadbeach, Gold Coast, on Friday 15th May - 11.30am to 3.30pm. This ultimate three course lunch with arrival drink is like no other, enjoyed with friends - 'rafiki' of ManaSprings. We look forward to welcoming you to The Garden Restaurant, for an exclusive, private event, located on the ground floor at The Star. You and friends are invited to this special annual event to fundraise for ManaSprings, an Australian Charity that strengthens and supports women caring for vulnerable and marginalised people and communities in Kenya. Guests have the chance to bid at the Silent and Live Auctions on incredible items, donated by generous Gold Coast companies and individuals, and to take a chance in winning one of the Lucky Door Prizes. Co-founders of ManaSprings - Carey Westwood and Wanjiru Waithaka are being interviewed about the charity's progress in Kenya within its women empowerment programs, and the vital role that local women leaders play in transforming impoverished communities. Plus, guest speaker, Olivia Williams returns to share of her second month-long experience in Kenya with ManaSprings. Olivia travelled again to Kenya in January with her mother, Ann-Maree Lockett and good friend, Esther Angrisano.
