Nature Journalling with Ivie from Wild Forest, Calm Mind Sunday 10th May | 9:00am - 10:30am Hooka Creek, Berkeley This event is open to all levels of creative expression, suitable for teens and adults. We will begin with a gentle grounding exercise and a nature connection activity, allowing participants to connect with the surrounding environment. These are designed to be calm and meditative, encouraging a mindful experience. Following the nature connection activity, participants will create art in their journals with a few creative prompts. Please bring your own Art Journal/book for your creative work. Some art materials will be available, however it is best to bring your own art supplies. Please note: This is not an Art class or Art teachings; it is simply the opportunity to express yourself and your nature experience in a gentle, non-judgemental safe space. No art skills necessary.
Imagine this: three uninterrupted days dedicated solely to your passion for sewing. No chores, no distractions - just you, your fabric and a supportive group of fellow creatives who share your love for stitching magic. Whether you're perfecting a project, starting something new, or just enjoying the rhythm of needle and thread this retreat is designed for you. Includes all meals, bunk style accommodation (3 per room), provision of irons, ironing boards, mirrors and cutting tables. Bring your own sewing equipment and projects. A small number of single rooms are available at extra cost (5 only).
An event to give moms a little creative break! We will provide a platter to each participant to decorate as they wish. We encourage participants to bring an idea (cutting or digital) but we will also have talented members helping create something special for everyone. All materials will be provided (platters, brushes, underglazes, etc) and pieces will be ready for pick up 1 week after the workshop. Please wear closed in shoes as there is a lot of heavy equipment in the studio. What you need to bring: Clothes that you do not mind getting a bit dirty and closed shoes. We will provide all materials and some refreshments for the participants. Thank you for purchasing a ticket to support our community. The Illawarra potters are a non-for-profit community studio run by volunteers proceeds from these workshops are used to provide and maintain studio equipment for our members.
