Environment Events in Ulladulla

Find out how easy it is to successfully transform household wastes into quality compost, a valuable plant food that improves all aspects of soil health. This workshop explains the main principles of composting and provides you with the necessary skills to create, maintain, troubleshoot and use compost. You are welcome to bring along some scraps or other suitable items to contribute to the compost heap. This 3 hour workshop is suitable for all, from beginners to accomplished composters and will comprise of both indoor and outdoor sessions. At the completion of the workshop, you will be given a validated 'Compost Coupon' which entitles your household to receive, at no charge, one compost bin. You will need to take your validated 'Compost Coupon' to the Buy-Back Centre at either West Nowra, Huskisson or Ulladulla Recycling and Waste Depot to collect your compost bin. Only one compost bin is allocated per household. PLEASE NOTE: This workshop is designed for adult learners and is suitable for participants aged 12 and over. We kindly ask that younger children not attend, as they will not be permitted entry. Thank you for your understanding. All attendees Children (12 years+) must have a ticket and be accompanied by an adult. No refreshments are provided.
