47 STUDIO & MESSY FUZZ PRESENT CHALK FEST 3! Coming off the back of 2 sell-out events, Chalk Fest is back bigger and better than ever before! Chalk Fest 3 will include a range of genres including jazz, punk, hip hop, soul, funk and rock. DJs will be on rotation to ensure the music never stops, as well as a range of live art, printing, film premiere by 47 Studio, photography development by Abby Cryer, and a range of local fashion designers. This year, we are supported by even more incredible brands keen to shower the community with endless giveaways! Including a Surfboard Raffle by Pious Surfboards!

Learn the magic of the Native American flute in a tranquil nature setting at Mullumbimby Community Gardens. Suitable for beginners and those looking to reconnect with the instrument. The workshop includes basics of the flute, playing simple melodies, breathwork, meditation, deep ecology, and practices to calm the nervous system. Flutes available for purchase or rental.
The Spoken Word Soirée #5 - Crossroads — The Choices We Make. A safe, inclusive space for poets, writers, musicians, performance poets, rappers, lovers of language, and artists of all levels to step forward and share your truth. Whether you're performing or simply here to listen, this event invites you to connect, express, and explore the choices we make. Enjoy a delicious dinner provided by the sensational Avalon at Heaps Good Food Store — a feast for the senses, made with care. Sip on a botanical elixir, kombucha, or warm up with rich cacao. Please note, this is a drug- and alcohol-free event.

Settle in for an intimate evening of rhythm, soul and storytelling with Alex Tilley. Originally from England, Alex has been playing music since a young age, evolving through various projects along the way—including folk duo Phil & Tilley. More recently, he’s stepped into a solo sound, using electric guitar and layered effects to create something atmospheric, soulful, and uniquely his own. Inspired by the likes of John Martyn, Ben Howard, John Mayer, and Pink Floyd, his music blends rich textures with a raw, human feel. Expect warm tones, layered sounds, and moments that feel completely in the moment. Light refreshments provided. Join us for a laid-back night of live music and connection as part of the Flock Together After Dark series — an up-close experience in our intimate downstairs venue.

Dub Club №5 — Meet the Instruments & Vocals Roots Recycled Sound System This one's a little different. For Dub Club №5, we're opening the space to something classic in sound system culture — a session where instrumentalists, singers, and players step up and ride the versions live, improvising freely over the riddims as they drop from vinyl. No script. No rehearsal. Pure vibration. Joining us on this one: Sky Eater — horns, flutes, guitar and more Empress Katia — vocals & flute SK Simeon — vocals Supported by 420 Sound on the selectors' side, dropping his own riddims & dubs. Roots Recycled (Twan, Papa Bitcho, and Mighty Mocchi) will be running the full sound system off the analog preamp mixer, loaded with sirens, echoes & delays. Come and feel it.

Six Week Sing – May 20 - June 24 with singer-songwriter and facilitator Alice Night. A radical exploration of voice and humanness. At The Yellow Church, Mullumbimby. Bring: notebooks and pen for lyric and poetry writing. Water bottle, no other food or drinks please. Please arrive on time for 5:15pm starts, we will finish by 6:45pm. For our final night June 24th we will invite some special guests to be the audience for an hour-long expression of what we have been exploring and creating over the term. Matiu Te Huki: Live in Concert with DJ Peach. When Matiu takes the stage, something magical happens. His presence is electrifying, his energy undeniable, and his connection with the crowd deeply moving. Looping live, Matiu crafts a soul-stirring fusion of roots music, infused with the spirit of Aotearoa. His performances are a rhythmic heartbeat of Māori tradition, blending haka, ancient chants, and traditional instruments with hypnotic grooves, deep, rolling bass lines, and infectious melodies that linger long after the last note fades. Each song is built with passion, precision, and an unshakable connection to the Pacific’s rich musical heritage. As a composer and storyteller, Matiu’s music carries a powerful message: one of unity, upliftment, and transformation. After his performance we will dance to the delicious beats of DJ Peach. Originally from Aotearoa, she is the co-founder and resident DJ at Ecstatic Dance Australia and is known for her beautiful bouncy beats ~ expect a fun journey of multi-genre tunes, hip-swinging rhythms and uplifting frequencies.
