Spilling The Tea is an inclusive, empowering art program designed specifically for queer-identifying youth. This workshop offers a safe, supportive, and creatively stimulating space where young people can explore artistic expression, connect with peers, and build a sense of identity and community.
Delve into the art of Punch Needle techniques to create a wearable artwork. Join our 2026 Artist in Residence, Jane Richens as she shares her expertise in Punch Needling. Learn how to transform threads into unique designs with a hollow needle that is punched through fabric on a hoop. Enjoy the meditative process of the rhythmic punching and stitching as you create your artwork. Jane will help you to embrace nature’s palette and create a unique wearable piece, suitable as a brooch. Beginners are welcome at this entry level workshop. All equipment will be supplied to use on the day. Please note that entry to the Fibre Makers Space is via a staircase. There is no disabled access. Bring a packed lunch and enjoy the beautiful Grossmann House gardens.
