Women in Agriculture: Leading Safer Futures is a free, regionally delivered workshop designed to support women working in agriculture to strengthen safety, wellbeing and leadership on farm. Agriculture remains one of Australia’s highest-risk industries, and women play a critical role in influencing safer work practices, culture and decision-making across agricultural workplaces. This practical and interactive session will explore high-risk hazards in agriculture, including machinery, vehicles and mobile plant, while also recognising that mental health and wellbeing are essential components of workplace safety. Participants will gain practical tools, real-world examples and confidence to apply what they learn in their own farming businesses and communities. The workshop will also highlight innovation and technology that can reduce risk, improve efficiency and support safer farming practices. What makes this workshop special is its local delivery and community focus. Each event brings women together in a supportive environment to share experiences, build connections and access relevant resources. At selected locations, an optional innovation session will showcase emerging technologies such as drones and demonstrate how they can enhance both safety and productivity on farm. The event is free to attend, with morning tea and lunch provided, and is open to women across agriculture including farmers, family members, employees, contractors and agribusiness operators. Delivered by Business with Brooke, powered by Bralca 2.0 Pty Ltd, and funded by SafeWork NSW, this workshop is an opportunity to invest in safer futures for farms, families and regional communities.
