An atmosphere of musical and scientific enlightenment.
An exploration of the living voice in classical music — works by composers who are shaping the sound of our time, in Australia and beyond!
Cherry Blossoms, known as Sakura in Japan, hold profound significance with their delicate pink petals and fleeting bloom, symbolizing beauty, new beginnings, and the transience of life. Local composer Oscar Dunn-Luck has been inspired by Bowral's Cherry Tree Walk to write a work specifically for this concert.
Queenie van de Zandt has been the name on the lips of Australia's Musical Theatre director for twenty years. Her technical brilliance and her emotional range make her a must have in the Musical Theatre world. She also happens to be very very funny. Her comic timing and sublime observational comedy have forged a career in venues across Australia. She appeared as her hilarious alter ego, Jan van de Stool, on Australia's Got Talent and knocked the judges flat with laughter. She is performing her love letter to the theatre, DIVA, at the How Do You Do Club and I couldn't be happier. Come and feel all the feels in the theatre with songs from the greatest Musicals with Queenie's personal story about how they moved her.
Join us for an event that blurs the line between reality and imagination, and discover how the piano can become a gateway to other worlds! Step beyond the familiar and enter a sound-world shaped by myth, ritual, and imagination.
