Find the best environment events and make the most of your time in Bootawa. With our biggest environment event range and best discovery experience, there's something for everyone.
Join us for a guided walk around the bushland at the back of Council's Bootawa Dam Water Treatment Plant. Join us for a walk around Council's Bootawa Dam. As you stroll through the property, koala conservation experts will teach you how to look for the presence of koalas, how to identify favourite koala food trees, and how operational sites can be managed for great conservation outcomes. There is a high chance of seeing koalas on the day so if you've never seen one in the wild, this is a good opportunity. The educational tour will start at 9am sharp, with the front gates locked once the tour begins. Bootawa Dam is an operational site, so closed toe shoes are required for entry to the site. We will be walking on bush tracks so please wear appropriate clothing (ie. long pants, hat, walking shoes, bug spray) and sun protection. A moderate level of fitness is required for the walk as there are a few hills. We will be walking for an estimated 1.5-2 hours. Morning tea will be provided for after the walk.
