Echidnas are among Australia’s most remarkable native animals—ancient egg-laying mammals vital to soil health and ecosystem balance. This 1-day workshop offers wildlife carers, landholders, and nature enthusiasts the rare chance to learn directly from Dr. Peggy Rismiller OAM, Environmental Physiologist and internationally recognised echidna expert. Based on more than three decades of research on Kangaroo Island, Dr. Rismiller will explore the unique biology, ecology, and reproductive strategies of the short-beaked echidna, as well as their crucial role in Australian landscapes. The program includes practical sessions on echidna rescue, injury care, and hand-rearing techniques, supported by real-world examples and current research findings. Participants will gain deeper insight into echidna conservation, welfare considerations, and best-practice care from egg to adult. Morning tea and lunch are provided, with opportunities to share experiences and connect with other carers and wildlife advocates.

This free workshop will provide you with information, guidance and practical examples of how to recognise and respond to coercive control. It is delivered in a way that is trauma informed, culturally responsive and victim-survivor centred.

Kids will create unique collage x watercolour artworks inspired by Katsushika Hokusai's 'The Great Wave off Kanagawa' in this hands-on school holiday workshop.

Art Therapy is a mindfulness technique & tool for regulating your nervous system. Art Therapy is a way to access your subconscious & unconscious mind. Art Therapy can be used to rewrite your beliefs and rewire your brain programming. But the thing I think is the most interesting and impactful element of Art Therapy is that it is a way to experience connection & have a conversation with your intuition/higher self/inner guidance or whatever you prefer to call it.
