Join acclaimed director, writer, and actor Mick Thyer for an in-depth exploration into the art and craft of storytelling. Originally from Australia and an alumni of The University of Queensland and Brown University’s graduate writing program, Mick has spent the past 15 years teaching in Los Angeles and Cape Cod while working across theatre and independent film on both coasts of the United States. This 8-week workshop focuses on method-based exercises and the core fundamentals of storytelling. Through guided discussion and practical application, students will learn how to analyze classic and contemporary storytelling works and apply specific techniques directly to their own projects in a supportive group environment that encourages discussion, risk-taking, and creative growth. The workshop concludes with a public presentation of selected works from the class.
This session focuses on supporting people with disability through their housing journey, using person-centred and rights-based housing conversations.
Master healthcare IT workflows, compliance, security & clinical technology essentials in fast-paced beginner to intermediate 1 Day session.
Celebrating 40 Years of Empowering Women through Education. As part of our 40th anniversary celebrations, we are proud to host our annual Careers Engagement Breakfast, aligned with International Women’s Week. This milestone event celebrates four decades of empowering women through education, while bringing together school careers advisors to explore career pathways for young women in the beauty and wellness industry — with a strong focus on employment outcomes and industry alignment. Attendees will hear from a special guest speaker representing one of Australia’s largest beauty employers, Wesfarmers Group, who will share firsthand insight into the current and future employment landscape across beauty and wellness, the skills, capabilities, and attributes employers are seeking in graduates, and real-world career pathways and progression opportunities.
