Deakin Institute for Intelligent Systems (IISRI) is Australia’s largest research group in intelligent systems modelling and simulation. Join us for a tour of this high-tech facility in Waurn Ponds where we will be shown some of the advanced technologies that have found commercial applications with leading organisations such as Ford, Australian Electoral Commission, Boeing and Australian Institute of Sport. Technologies include human factors and performance, motion simulators, autonomous systems plus systems modelling and simulation. This is a rare opportunity to gain insight into one of Geelong’s most innovative facilities that is home to more than 100 researchers and has worked with more than 300 industry partners.

This carefully designed event will delve into the rapid rise of AI and its impact across various sectors, including health, education, employment, and the arts. We will approach AI systems from an intersectional perspective, scrutinising issues of bias, power, equity & ethics.
