1986 – the year the World rode into town. Jump on the bus and experience the Gawler locations that were part of the 6th World Three Day Event Championships.
Come along and join us and Wilbur’s Wildlife for exciting native animal encounter! Experience the world of Australia’s unique wildlife up close with Wilbur’s Wildlife. Our event offers an opportunity to see and interact with a variety of friendly animals, including reptiles, mammals, amphibians, and invertebrates. Participants will get to meet these wonderful creatures but also learn about their habitats. This hands-on experience is perfect for children up to 12 years. Please note: Adults/Caregivers are not required to reserve a ticket for this program.

Bring the family along to the beautiful Marnkutyi Parirna Theatre at Trinity College Gawler and enjoy an afternoon filled with exciting, vibrant and expressive melodies performed by ensembles from AdYO and Trinity College. Our Grandparents Concert is a heartfelt celebration of music, family and togetherness. It is a chance for grandparents, parents and young people to share a special moment and experience the joy of live music side by side. You will hear a variety of colourful works that showcase the talent and spirit of our young musicians, creating an afternoon that is warm, welcoming and full of wonderful surprises. Whether you are cheering on someone you love or simply enjoying a relaxed community event, this concert offers a beautiful way to spend time with the people who matter most.

Relive the stories, the crowds and the electricity of the moment Gawler took the world stage. Hear from people who were a part of the event 40 years ago, and watch a short film including interviews with winner of the 1986 World Championship Ginny Elliot (nee Leng), Barry O’Brien the course photographer for the World Championship, world renowned equestrian Lucinda Green and Maggie Dawkins author of “Horse on Course – the Gawler 3 Day Event” and more. Bring along YOUR memorabilia from the World Championships to have it photographed to be added to the Gawler Heritage Collection or have your tale from the event recorded as an oral history. Light supper provided. Drinks available for purchase (Licensed Bar).
