Suicide prevention training. Wesley LifeForce training equips participants with a variety of skills such as managing suicidal crisis, understanding risk and protective factors, and how to recognise potential warning signs. The Suicide Prevention Workshop teaches people to identify the signs that someone may be at risk of suicide and appropriate actions to take. All Wesley LifeForce facilitators are accredited trainers and have completed suicide intervention training.

A home that supports independence. Our SIL Open House welcomed families and coordinators to explore quality NDIS living options. The event offered a firsthand look at our homes, highlighting comfortable living spaces, accessible facilities, and the supportive environment that empowers participants to live more independently while receiving personalised care. You will have the opportunity to meet our experienced support team, learn about our person-centred approach, and explore how our services are tailored to support each participant’s goals, daily living skills, and overall wellbeing.
Join The Skin Hospital for a practical, case-based dermatology education day designed specifically for GPs. The Skin Hospital’s Rural Roadshow for GPs is bringing practical, case-based dermatology education to Dubbo, Tamworth, Port Macquarie and Wagga Wagga in 2026. Through real clinical cases, we will examine the GP perspective at first presentation, the dermatologist’s approach to management, the pathologist’s interpretation of histology, and the mental health considerations that can influence disease course and patient outcomes. Each session will explore assessment, investigation pathways, pathology correlation, referral decisions and psychosocial factors, with practical, applicable take home messages to support confident clinical decision making.
The University of Newcastle will be hosting an information session for parents and carers of prospective students from the Dubbo region. We are in Dubbo supporting parents and carers of year senior school students. If you have a child who is currently completing senior studies, come visit us for our FREE Parents and Carers Info Session. Come and chat anytime between 5:30pm - 7:00pm, the presentation will commence at 6pm. Parents and Carers will have the opportunity to hear from University staff and current students, with a presentation touching on areas such as: Our different entry schemes, such as the Early Entry Program, Schools Recommendation Scheme and Year 12 Subject Spotlight Our campus locations, guaranteed accommodation, scholarships and more Student experience and support services available Following this, there will be an opportunity for Q&A's if you had any specific inquiries. Students are welcome to attend as well.
Join Macquarie Regional Library in welcoming two Australian crime authors Candice Fox and J.P. Pomare at a special lunch time event at Dubbo Library. ABC radio presenter Kim Goldsmith will host the panel style event and chat to the bestselling thriller authors about their upcoming novels, Redbelly Crossing and The Gambler. A light lunch/refreshments will be provided. People are welcome to bring in their own lunch. The author talk is expected to finish at 1:30 pm with availability to chat to the authors following the event. Books will be available for purchase at the event, supplied by The Book Connection.
