Limberlost Garden Centre is proud to be supporting Team Thunderstruts, an amazing group of local runners competing in this year's Wheelbarrow Race, raising funds for the Innisfail Breast Cancer Support Group. The IBCSG provides practical support for regional women, from the Torres Strait to Cardwell, and the Atherton Tablelands, through their Breast Cancer journey, including Bec, our General Manager at Limberlost who completed treatment last year. Entry is $25pp, to be donated to the Thunderstruts fundraising campaign. Cocktails, beer, wine, and Tapas will be available for purchase. Thunderstruts raffle tickets will be on sale for $2 each for a chance to win some fabulous prizes, or buy a 100 board number for the chance to win a $100 cash prize!
The Community Engagement Officer from Services Australia will be onsite to offer general Centrelink information and help navigating MyGov. Carer Gateway is a national support service funded by the Australian Government. It provides free services for anyone caring for a family member or friend who has a disability, mental health condition, chronic health condition, terminal illness, or is frail aged.
A warm and welcoming time to connect, share stories with new and old friends, enjoy games, share a laugh and unwind at the Carer Hub. Hot tea, fresh scones, and zero small talk required (unless you’re into that 😉). There’ll be games (the fun kind, not the confusing kind), good company, and plenty of space to chat, chuckle, or simply sit and soak it all in. Because caring doesn’t mean you stop needing connection too. Pull up a chair because we’ve saved you a spot 💛

We’re hosting a fundraiser for RSPCA Cupcake Day! Bring along your doggo for a great morning of fun at Cazalys - Sunday June 28th from 10am-2pm, for some fun for the whole family! We’ll have a photo booth, jumping castle, cupcakes, face painting, sausage sizzle, and market stalls from all the best local animal-based businesses in Cairns. AND if you have a DACHSHUND – we have something extra special. The Dashshund Dash. A 40m dash, where the quickest wiener dog wins! Entry to each category is $10 (with discounts for extra entries), and the winners will walk away with amazing prizes for you and your pooch courtesy of our sponsors! Cazalys Top Dog will be our judge’s choice, best in show. You must be entered into at least one category to be considered for Top Dog. Register your pup online for categories. Entry for humans will be a gold coin donation on the day. All monies raised will be donated to RSCPA.
