A kooky, spooky ‘make your own haunted house mini zine’ workshop with author Lucie Stevens. Explore how to invent an original, kooky and perhaps a little spooky, character before creating a haunted house for them to dwell in. Ignite your imagination with ideas and create your own mini-zine to share with your friends - perhaps even give them a tiny fright! $5 per child. For ages 7yrs and above. Age limit is firm. Children must be signed in and out of the program and picked up promptly at the end of the program.

Equips participants with the knowledge and skills to increase awareness of suicide in Australia, identify the signs that someone may be at risk of suicide and appropriate action to take. Effective interventions can make a real difference and save lives.

Data Science and Geological Change - This STEM professional learning session aims to support Secondary teachers to effectively deliver the new Science 7-10 Syllabus (2023) to the teach the Stage 4 Geological Change, Data Science I and Stage 5 Data Science II topics. The aim of the PD is to refresh and up-skill teachers in data science and geological basics. Teachers will be introduced to a wide array of online data resources suited for the Data Science I and II topics. Classroom projects and activities will be demonstrated using Australian examples and resources. The field trip will cover much of the Geological change topic, including examples shown in the field. The PD will be delivered by a qualified Earth scientist. Teacher Earth Science Education Programme Ltd (TESEP) is a NESA recognised PD provider.
The University of Sydney is coming to Bathurst! Regional and Remote Entry Scheme, MySydney Scheme, and the session will cover information about courses, admission requirements, entry schemes/pathways, fees, scholarships, accommodation, and support available on campus. Uni students and alumni from Regional NSW will share stories, tips on moving away from home and advice about their journey to university and beyond. You’ll also get the chance to speak with staff and students and have your questions answered.
