One of Melbourne’s best charity events is on again in 2026 — the Our Village Mother’s Day Lunch! We’ve been hosting these special events since 2017, bringing friends and colleagues together to celebrate mums with delicious food, live entertainment and heartwarming stories. Most importantly, it’s an opportunity for our incredible community to raise funds to support thousands of vulnerable babies and children across Victoria and their Mums and carers, who need our help. This year's Mother’s Day Lunch event will be better than ever. Proudly presented by DECJUBA, the celebration will be hosted by Brihony Dawson with live music from Midnight Mix.

Guests at the Shine Bright Gala can look forward to an enchanting evening at the iconic San Remo Ballroom filled with entertainment, gourmet dining, and inspiring speeches from individuals whose lives have been touched by scleroderma. The event features an auction with an array of exclusive items and experiences, donated by generous supporters. Each bid and donation made during the evening directly contributes to Scleroderma Victoria’s youth program.

In 2025, leading advocates, legal experts and policymakers came together to consider how Victoria might reckon with its history of criminalisation, discriminatory policing, violence and institutional prejudice directed at LGBTIQA+ communities. The emergent report, led by Dr Jeremie Bracka, demonstrates broad cross-sector recognition that Victoria’s response to historical anti-LGBTIQA+ harm remains incomplete. Join us at the historic former City Watch House at Old Melbourne Gaol with the Victorian Commissioner for LGBTIQA+ Communities, Joe Ball, and a lively panel discussion featuring prominent human rights activists as we reflect on the past and where we need to go from here. The report will be launched alongside the Bending the Bars at the Old Melbourne Gaol, a powerful and immersive installation that foregrounds the lived experiences of LGBTIQA+ people who were historically criminalised under Victoria’s former laws. Light catering and refreshments provided.
