Environment Events in Bainbridge Island

IslandWood is proud to welcome forest ecologist Suzanne Simard to discuss her new book, When the Forest Breathes. Suzanne will be joined in conversation by WA State Master Naturalist Christina Woolf, lead curator of the Bainbridge Island Biodiversity Project and IslandWood's Senior Naturalist. Simard's book explores the science of forest ecosystems, highlighting the role of fungi, elder trees, and the importance of Indigenous stewardship practices. A book signing will follow the presentation in IslandWood's Welcome Center with Suzanne.
