Join our Textile Collage Workshop (Ages 18+) for a fun and creative hands-on experience! Narratives and stories have been embedded in fiber arts and embroidery for centuries. Explore this rich storytelling art practice with a contemporary twist by creating your own textile collage using basic embroidery stitches in a variety of ways. We will dive into the world of composition, color theory, hand applique, and texture contrast and development. Students will have the opportunity to create 2D textile collages or 3D sculptural assemblage collages.
Join us at the Innovation Studio + Store for a final party celebrating all the artwork created the month of May! This Sticky Note Celebration will be a party to celebrate all the fun artwork created during the month-long competition. All submitted artwork will be on display, and the winning team will be announced! All participants will receive a small goodie bag, and the winning team will be awarded their prize. Prizes are supported by local businesses and community partners. We thank them for their support in the Innovation Studio + Store's mission. Light refreshments and art activities will be available. There is no extra cost for this event, but registration is encouraged. We look forward to seeing your team!
