Join us for a beginner-focused introduction to Wu Hao Tai Chi, led by Denise Nicely. The class will provide an opening active meditation and a soft introduction to Wu Hao Tai Chi. In addition to basic body positioning and flow, the class will introduce Tai Chi’s philosophical tenets and help participants notice how inner energy (Chi) and external forces can work together. These principles include: Mindfulness and Intention, Relaxation and Sinking, Controlled Breathing, Understanding/Utilizing Chi and Dantian, and Mind-Body Connection. As an introductory course, students from all backgrounds and experience levels are welcome. Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable exercise clothing and indoor shoes (preferably with flat soles). The venue will not provide water, so a personal water bottle is recommended. Note: First timers and beginners are expected to attend the 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM session. Those who have received permission from the instructor may attend the intermediate class from 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM
