Join us for a community discussion of "A River Runs Through It" by Norman Maclean. This installment of the Larkspur Book Club will meet Thursday, March 26th, 2026 from 11am-12:30pm CST, and we will be reading, "A River Runs Through It" a novella by Norman Maclean. Maclean grew up in the western Rocky Mountains in the first decades of the twentieth century. As a young man he worked many summers in logging camps and for the United States Forest Service. The two novellas and short story in this collection are based on his own experiences. For each edition of our book club we’re going to select one book we enjoy that engages themes of death, grief, or nature. We’ll announce the selection and give you time to read it before we meet in-person at the Larkspur Library for an enriching discussion.
