Friday, March 20th we welcome Juliet Mendoza to CARGO. The LA native and lifelong dancer takes the room 12AM–3AM with a set built for movement. Raised in LA’s mid-’90s underground at rooms like Arena and Carnival, Juliet became a respected dancer, promoter, and community builder early on. A core member of OpenHouse LA and founder of Jill’s House (Jackin Jills), she’s carried her sound from Los Angeles to Amsterdam, Paris, and Mexico City. She’s shared decks with Doc Martin, Marques Wyatt, Riva Starr, Colette, DJ Heather, and Peggy Gou, and was named a Defected Records Unsung Hero in 2022, taking her sound to Croatia and beyond. 9PM–12AM in the Foyer, Borbón sets it off. A steady presence in Brooklyn, he’s played Good Room, Jupiter Disco, and warehouse sessions across NYC. Expect warm builds, locked-in grooves, and a floor fully moving before midnight. 12AM–3AM in the Foyer, Robert PM takes over. Formerly one half of French Horn Rebellion (GRAMMY-shortlisted, remixes for Beyoncé, Sia, Two Door Cinema Club), he now runs Toucan Sounds, DJ Mag’s 2023 Breakthrough Label nominee. One half of Autechre, **Rob Brown** brings his pioneering IDM and experimental techno to The Sound Room. From early techno-influenced soundscapes to highly complex, algorithmically driven, and abstract electronic compositions, each mind-melting track blends seamlessly into the next. **Kamran Sadeghi**’s productions are physical and enveloping—using sound and space as a sculptural material within the avant-garde, ambient, and modern classical domains. In The Atrium, **B.AI** shares sounds from the Chinese underground, where her sensitive, highly personal approach to melody and dreamy-yet-driving, low-slung house have made her one to watch out for. **Julia Govor**’s precise, immersive, and deeply textural techno remain the hallmark of our Friday nights. UPSTAIRS, **Nabihah Iqbal** continues her inter-disciplinary artistic output, taking an ethnomusicological perspective on left-field dance music from around the world. \- Public Records aims to provide a safer space.
