Have unfinished projects at home, an idea you want to explore, or just enjoy working with like-minded metal smiths? For students with recent Beginner Jewelry experience and above, use the jewelry studio to create your independent projects in copper and/or sterling silver with an instructor available for advice and guidance.
Learn the beautiful art of stained glass by making flowers using the Tiffany-style copper foil method. You'll be guided through every step, from foiling and soldering to adding the final details like a brass stem. All tools, materials, and safety gear will be provided.
Learn how to design your own pieces, and practice sawing, piercing, filing, polishing, texturing, soldering, and making bezels. Students will be introduced to all the basic skills in this 5-week (15-hour) early evening beginner class. Students will go home with a finished project after each class, a pendant using sheet metal, ring, bezel set stone, and a forged bracelet. All materials are provided, including copper for practice. Sterling silver is optional.
