The 34th Annual North Carolina Hazardous Waste Generator Compliance Workshop No. 3, co-sponsored by the North Carolina Manufacturers Alliance (NCMA) and the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ), Division of Waste Management (DWM) is being held at the Conference Center GTCC in Colfax (Greensboro area). The Hazardous Waste Section is providing this training for members of the regulated community. It's a valuable opportunity for staff who are new to hazardous waste, need a refresher, or want to broaden their knowledge of environmental compliance. The training covers key hazardous waste management requirements, including proper waste identification, container handling, emergency procedures, and documentation. Participants will also learn about managing universal waste—such as rechargeable batteries and fluorescent lamps—and used oil, along with real case studies from inspectors.
