Please Read: Preregistering for the Fixit Clinic offers priority over walk-in attendees. Wait times may occur and walk-in attendees may experience longer waits. Preregistration helps our volunteer fixers plan ahead and bring the right tools for the right fixes - giving your item the best chance at repair! Bring a book, a friend, or walk around the event to help ease the waiting period until a fixer becomes available. We often throw away things that stop working and buy new ones instead of fixing them. This creates a big problem for our environment because our landfills are filling up too quickly, and electronic waste (e-waste) is a significant source of pollution. To help address this issue, we encourage you to learn how to fix things instead of throwing them away. Whether it's electronics, appliances, computers, toys, bicycles, clothes, or other items, please bring them to us for assessment, disassembly, and possible repair. We'll provide a workspace, specialty tools, and guidance to help you take things apart and identify problems. Even if we cannot fix your item, you'll learn more about how it works and how it was made. This is a family-friendly event, and we welcome children of all ages to come and learn with us. We hope to see you at the LB Fixit Clinic!
