New tour series for the Fairmount Mausoleum - Meet on the front steps. Explore the historic Fairmount Mausoleum, one of the finest community mausoleums in the United States, where thousands of souls have been laid to rest since its opening in 1930. We'll discuss the mausoleum's history, its architecture, and explain how a community mausoleum operates. We'll also visit the crypts of a few individuals who played a part in the mausoleum's history.
Join the Fairmount Heritage Foundation tour guide for a tour of the Civil War Veterans at Riverside Cemetery - Denver CO - beginning promptly at 10AM at the Riverside Office. This is a walking tour - Please plan and dress for the weather, wear good walking shoes as you will be traveling along gravel/dirt roads. Bring an umbrella for shade/rain. Hats and sunscreen advised. Drinking water is NOT available - Please plan accordingly. Port-o-potty available for your use. Tour time - Approx. 1.5 hours - This tour is at NO CHARGE - however a donation to the Fairmount Heritage Foundation will be accepted and greatly appreciated!
