Skylar Tang, winner of the 2022 Essentially Ellington’s Student Composition/Arranging Contest, will conduct and perform her original composition 'Kaleidoscope' with the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra. Inspired by the profound history of black American music, Skylar strives to create honest, innovative, and relevant music that speaks to all aspects of the human condition. For this show, she brings her NYC-based quartet consisting of fellow Juilliard students.
