Find the best charity events and make the most of your time in Berkeley. From music to gaming and more, we have the biggest event range and best discovery experience, there's something for everyone.
Ladies and Gentlemen! Gladies and Lentelmen! Boy and girls and non-binary folks, people of all genders and Gender-benders- Purim is coming with the next full moon- and we are cooking up a festive festival of fun. Monday night, March 2, hold on to your hat and put on your face, join your Chochmat family for a memorable upside down evening. Family centric, open to children of all ages. 5:30-7:30. Dinner. Games. And of course a Megillah-show* *please note: this will be an alice in wonderland adventure of a Megilla, with even the Megilla itself being turned inside up and upside down. It will not be a halachic reading of Esther’s adventures. Rather an interpretation for our times and our chochmat families.
Janam ~ Benefit for Community Kitchens hosted by The Back Room. Tickets are $35 in advance and $40 at the door. Children under 12 are free. The Back Room is an all-ages, BYOB (for those 21+) space, dedicated to (mostly) acoustic music of all kinds.
Join Barbara's family as they celebrate her life and legacy on March 8th. “Barbara showed us what it means to choose humanity over comfort, justice over silence, and love over fear. She taught us that solidarity is not an idea, but a lifelong practice. We are better for having walked this path with her, and poorer for her absence — yet richer beyond measure for what she gave us.” - Michel Shehadeh, Former MECA Board President Please RSVP in advance as space is limited and consider making a tax-deductible donation to the Middle East Children's Alliance in Barbara's memory.
