Education Events in Safford

Experience an all-day adventure with Mt. Graham International Observatory Tours at Eastern Arizona College’s Discovery Park. Start your journey at 9:00 am and return by 5:00 pm. Visit the Vatican Advanced Technology Telescope, Arizona Radio Observatory, and the Large Binocular Telescope, the largest and most powerful telescope in the world. Tickets are $75 for general admission, with discounts available for military, seniors, and teens. Note: Times are approximate, and there are no night sky gazing options. Safety measures are in place, including wearing closed-toed shoes and a light jacket. Refunds are not provided except in specific circumstances. Participants must be able to climb stairs and walk at high altitudes. Smoking, alcohol, pets, and service animals are not allowed. The observatories are not handicapped accessible.
