Parenting Events in San Diego

This in-person class is created for parents-to-be in their final trimester. You will learn what you can expect from newborn to 12 weeks. We will cover newborn interventions after birth, infant feeding, soothing techniques, and what you can expect from newborn sleep. Using dolls and other props, you will practice diapering, swaddling, and bathing a newborn! We will also cover what you can expect from your postpartum recovery beginning immediately after birth throughout your fourth trimester (12 weeks). We will cover your anatomy and physiology postpartum, strategies for getting enough sleep, nutrition and returning to movement, how to ask for the support you actually need, and the difference between baby blues and perinatal mood disorders.
