Brighten The Corners Presents: post-rock, ambient and prog rock group Held By Trees. Not many bands can claim living DNA of their chief influences within their sound but Held By Trees are one. Debut album, Solace featured contributions from eight Talk Talk/Mark Hollis alumni, as well as veterans of Pink Floyd, Dire Straits, Blur and blues/roots icon, Eric Bibb. Wide critical acclaim followed, and support from Guy Garvey and Stuart Maconie on BBC 6 Music and play on Radio 3. Current band members include David Joseph, James Grant (Love & Money / Butler, Blake & Grant), Robbie McIntosh (Paul McCartney / The Pretenders / John Mayers / Talk Talk), Andy Panayi (Ronnie Scott / Paul McCartney / Mark Hollis), Laurence Pendrous (Mark Hollis / Anja Garbarek), and Ruben Harsant. “The music floats softly between ambient, prog rock, jazz and post rock. In addition to aforementioned Talk Talk albums also excerpts from Pink Floyd and Dire Straits records could serve as musical references. How honest this production, and how good the playing…” - OOR Magazine review of Solace (The Netherlands) Support comes from Catrin Vincent **Accessibility** Ticket holders are eligible for a free companion ticket.
