The Sorrento Solstice Festival returns on Saturday 20 June 2026 for a full afternoon and evening of music, art, light, and community celebration right in the heart of Sorrento. It's completely free to attend, open to everyone, and there's something happening for every age from 2pm until 9pm. Watch a 6-metre tall burning effigy blaze against the waters of Port Phillip Bay as dusk falls on the longest night. Walk the lantern-lit main street as the town glows. Lose yourself in a silent disco, or slow down in the Solstice Zone for sound healing and reflection. Catch live music and DJs across two stages featuring some of the Mornington Peninsula's finest local talent, and be surprised by roving performers threading through the crowd throughout the evening. For families, the Kids Zone brings lantern making, entertainment, and activities designed to let little ones experience the magic of the solstice in their own way. The Lantern Walk along the main road is a highlight not to miss, a moving river of light that has become one of the evening's most loved traditions.
