What's On in Smiths Beach

Let's celebrate 10 Years of going Surfing and Making Someone's Summer! Phillip Island Pre-register. No experience necessary. Surfer Registration opens from 10:00am. First surfer session in the water at 11:00am. Wetsuits available to borrow. Change area with hoists/beds and disabled toilet facilities available. Beach access via the boardwalk ramp. A Carer/Guardian must be present with you. Volunteers Info: No experience necessary. Check-in and registration opens at 9:00am. Water & land based roles available. Wetsuits available to borrow. Briefings will be provided. First surfer session in the water at 11:00am. Surfers finished by 2:00pm. Other Notes: Bring your own sunscreen, towel, water bottle, hat, swimsuit and/or wetsuit if you have one! Beach wheelchairs available (limited). Sunscreen will be available if you forget! Free sausage sizzle and fresh fruit provided. Water available for refills. Photography/Videography Disclaimer: Due to the nature of this event, photography and video will be taken to capture special moments of our Surfers in and out of the water, along with their Carers/Guardians and our Volunteers. These images may include all groups and may be used for promotional, educational, or community purposes. By volunteering in a water-based role, you acknowledge and consent to being photographed or filmed during the event. If you do not wish to be photographed, we recommend selecting a land-based volunteer role, where every effort will be made to avoid capturing your image.
