Join Theresa Virgona and Jo Barker, practitioners in EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) for an enlightening and supportive session. With over 30 years of experience as primary school teachers, Theresa and Jo understand the profound impact emotional stress can have on health and wellbeing. Their own journeys through cancer have further deepened their empathy and insight, making them compassionate guides for adults and children alike. In this session, they will introduce EFT—also known as Tapping—a simple, evidence-based self-help tool that uses acupressure points to release emotional blockages. EFT has been shown to reduce anxiety, ease pain, improve relationships, and boost focus and productivity.

Start your morning with a gentle, supportive Mat Pilates class grounded in the traditional Pilates method. Led by Alana from Civic Recreation Reserve Centre, this class focuses on controlled movement, posture, core strength and mindful breathing. Free and open to people affected by cancer, as well as their family members, friends and carers. No prior Pilates experience needed.

Explore how spices are used across different food traditions, and learn a range of key techniques including toasting, grinding, and blooming. You will get to experience how these methods unlock aroma, depth, and balance, and how they can be applied to create flavorful and well-rounded dishes at home. You will leave with practical, transferrable spice techniques, increased confidence using spices in everyday cooking, and a deeper understanding of how flavor is built across global cuisines. The class concludes with a shared meal where participants sit down together to enjoy the dishes together, providing time for discussion, reflection, and questions.
Inspire your sustainability leaders at our Student Environmental Leadership Summit. This summit brings students together to develop the knowledge, skills and confidence to lead positive change in their schools and wider community. Students will work with peers to develop a project to improve their school's sustainability.
Social Space is a relaxed space for young people aged 18– 25 to spend time and hang out. Each session offers a mix of activities, including playing video games, getting creative with art, socialising with friends, enjoying snacks and much more. It’s a welcoming environment where young people can connect, try new things, build confidence and simply enjoy a positive place to hang out during Term 1.
A gentle stretch and strengthen class led by exercise physiologist Jack from Civic Recreation Reserve Centre, combining gentle bodyweight exercises with stretching and mobility to support whole-body movement for people affected by cancer and their family, friends and carers. Exercises will be customised to suit participants.
