Find the best education events and make the most of your time next 30-days in Mansfield. From education to trivia and more, we have the biggest event range and best discovery experience, there's something for everyone.

Calling all budding builders! Using our extensive collection of Lego, the Library will transform into a galactic engineering hub. In this session children will have the freedom to dream big, designing and building their own Lego rockets, lunar rovers, and star-cruisers. This session encourages spatial reasoning, creative problem-solving, and collaborative play as kids work to bring their cosmic visions to life. Whether they are building a sleek explorer for deep space travel or a sturdy base for a moon landing, the only limit is their imagination! Creations will be on show in the Library display cabinet until the end of the school holidays.

In this explosive 60-minute workshop, the team at MAD Science will take explorers on a comprehensive tour of the universe. This immersive experience is designed to spark a life long passion in STEM and space exploration! Young scientists will dive into the mechanics of our solar system, exploring the staggering scale of planets before feeling the thrill of aerospace engineering with a rocket launch. The mission continues as kids dive into hands-on experiments, create "expanding universe slime" and witnessing spectacular, mind-blowing chemical reactions that simulate the birth and growth of our cosmos.

In this session young explorers will craft a unique galaxy lamp to take home. Each participant will receive an LED projector lamp and scratch paper inserts. Using etching tools, children will carve their own custom designs, from swirling nebulae and distant planets to their favourite constellations. Once the artistic work is complete, the inserts are placed inside the lamp, allowing their hand-drawn galaxy to be projected onto their bedroom walls. This workshop is a wonderful blend of artistic expression and space magic, providing a soothing, glowing sanctuary for any young astronaut to dream in.

Buckle in for an afternoon of stellar entertainment. Join us for a screening of a beloved animated space classic featuring a curious little robot on a big adventure, perfect for explorers aged five and up. To complete the cinema experience, a variety of snacks will be provided, including popcorn, sweets, fruit and water to keep our young crew fuelled for their journey.
Join ANU's Sustainable Farms to hear about creating resilience to drought on farms.
This isn’t your usual night out — hear Brendan Cullen’s story of mental health, resilience, and the journey that changed his life. We’re bringing an exciting night to Mansfield — a night of story, community, and good local people in the same room. An Evening with Brendan Cullen, Desert Swimmer, Brendan has travelled from NSW to be here in Mansfield to share a story that will feel deeply relatable to many country people. Raised around Broken Hill and shaped by life on the land, his story is grounded in the realities of rural life — the strength, the isolation, the pressure, and the quiet battles that often go unseen. From speaking openly about depression and mental health, to becoming a mental health advocate, peer support champion, and swimming the English Channel, Brendan’s journey is one of grit, honesty, and hope. It’s not just a story about big achievements — it’s a story about what it means to keep going, ask for help, and find a way through. No pressure. Just come as you are.
