Adventure Events in Spalford

Meet agronomist Tim, owner of Rusty Roof Vineyard, for an in-depth walk through the vineyard, cellar door and stories behind the wines. This small-group experience dives into the history of the farm, how the vineyard came to be, and what makes Rusty Roof wines a little different. Tim will talk through the grape varieties grown on site, how 10 different wines are produced from just 6 varieties, and the realities of growing grapes in North West Tasmania's highly fertile soils. You’ll also learn about the important role the vineyard ducks play (yes, really), before finishing with a guided tasting of all Rusty Roof wines. Concluding with the daily feeding of the Highland cattle at 4pm.
