A meaningful opportunity to come together in remembrance of mothers and maternal figures who have shaped our lives. Members of the community are warmly invited to a special Mother’s Day Memorial Service at Carr Villa Memorial Park. Held ahead of Mother’s Day, this annual gathering offers a gentle and supportive space to honour and remember mothers and maternal figures who have shaped our lives. The service will take place on Friday 8 May 2026 at 10.00am in the Carr Villa Chapel, providing an opportunity for quiet reflection alongside others who may be experiencing similar feelings. While Mother’s Day is often a time of celebration, it can also be deeply emotional for those whose mum is no longer with them. This non-religious 30 minute service acknowledges mothers, grandmothers, stepmothers, and all nurturing figures. It is open to everyone, regardless of where their loved one rests or how they choose to remember them.
