Join us and other families and friends who are supporting a loved one living with mental ill health and or alcohol and other drug use to hear from Older Persons Mental Health Services (OPMHS). You can expect time at the beginning of the session to hear the guest speakers talk about: How the service works with aged care OPMHS reform update In the last part of the session, you will have the opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback on your experiences and needs. These sessions ARE NOT FOR: service providers consumers Those under 18 years of age We understand that many people wear many hats, we just ask that you come in your role as a support person and understand that this is a space for families and friends to be able to speak freely and without judgement
Recovering from a work-related illness or injury can feel isolating, lonely and hard. But we can help with that! This free workshop led by life coach Megan Woods and psychologist Michael Quinn, provides a safe and encouraging environment to connect with others, share stories, and explore new interests and possibilities for yourself. The workshop (one of four running monthly between January and April 2026) explores creative options to gently re-charge your physical and sensory energy in ways that feel right to you while you’re on leave - or preparing to return to work – from work-related illness or injury. Come to one workshop, or all four workshops in the series!
This workshop is designed to enhance skills to those involved in trialling and scripting alternate postural equipment for clients of all ages; paediatric and adult. We’ll expand on the strategies used for 24 hour postural care outside of the wheelchair. Practical decision making on best equipment selection for trial. This interactive and dynamic workshop will facilitate: Knowledge of a range of equipment options for out of wheelchair postural care strategies, Prevent/Protect against changes in body shape with emphasis on the chest, spine, and pelvis, Manage existing changes in body shape to prevent worsening contractures and promote comfort, Confidently select practical trial equipment options across postural seating and lying positioning systems.
