They create safe, interactive and reflective spaces for participants using their experience and expertise from being part of, and working extensively with, the LGBTIQA+ community.
Join Exhibition Curator Theia Connell for a guided tour of Semaphore Score at the State Library and Archives of Tasmania. S Semaphore Score 1868 Tasman’s Peninsula – Semaphore Code Dictionary Semaphore Score In response, she has created a contemporary, revised semaphore code book for Lutruwita/Tasmania. It includes language that addresses climate and environmental damage as well as expressions of intimacy and care. The new codes are designed so they can be used flexibly. As a call to action, an instruction, a plea, a poem, a love letter, or a warning. Curator Theia Connell will guide you through this exhibition, and explain how you can get involved.

You're welcome to use the arts and crafts supplies we provide, or you can bring your own. You don’t have to stay for the whole event, and all skill levels are invited to join us.

Perhaps you received a DNA test from Christmas or your grandchildren are asking questions about your life as a child? This session will involve planning your family history journey: where to find information at home, how to organise the information you find and where you can go to next. We will share a PowerPoint for about half an hours, then it will be time for Q&A and some practical activities.
