BLOOM 2026 AUSTRALIAN HEADLINE TOUR WITH SPECIAL GUESTS AVOID Prepare to step into a spectacular new chapter for melodic hardcore act BLOOM, with the Sydney five-piece set to release their eagerly-anticipated sophomore album this Friday, alongside the announcement today of a national Australian headline tour to officially launch the album on home soil next February, joined by special guests AVOID (USA). Starting their national run on Wednesday 11 February in Brisbane, BLOOM will trek through the Gold Coast, Newcastle, Sydney, Wollongong, Melbourne and Frankston, before concluding on Saturday 21 February in Adelaide. One of the most prolific rising acts on the Australian heavy scene, BLOOM emerged in 2017, introducing the world to their open-veined take on melodic hardcore that would ultimately build into their 2024 debut full-length, Maybe In Another Life. Wasting no time to rest on their laurels or the acclaim that accompanied their debut LP, BLOOM quickly turned their gaze to working on their sophomore album The Light We Chase (due out October 31 via Pure Noise Records); a multi-faceted and matured collection of songs that finds the band extending their creative reach beyond internal and external expectations. Steeped in light and shade equally, amongst stadium-ready anthems, hazy moments that straddles shoegaze, grunge and dreampop, bone-rattling heaviness and lashings of authentic emotion, The Light We Chase firmly places BLOOM at the forefront of heavy music, while also boasting the group's first credited guest vocals, including Movements' Patrick Miranda, Yours Truly's Mikaila Delgado and Void Of Vision's Jack Bergin. Recently ticking off performances with Silverstein in Europe earlier this year, as well as performances throughout 2025 alongside Chelsea Grin, Currents, Trophy Eyes, and their own almost entirely sold out run in support of single Withered last month, BLOOM are now currently on the road with fellow Aussie staples Thornhill and Ocean Grove in the UK and Europe, and will close out the year in North America supporting Silverstein. With their live show declared most recently by HiFi Way as "a rip-roaring success", and Scenestr praising that "the energy is purely unmatched and is definitely a contender for performance of the year", BLOOM's anticipated return to Australian audiences in 2026 is only set to ignite further following the release of The Light We Chase this Friday. A band with no shortage of adjectives to describe their high-octane sound, spanning engaging, edgy, erratic, irreverent, wild, vibrant and fun, Seattle five-piece AVOID channel the insatiable sonic legacy of their home town into their own unique aesthetic, bringing passion, innovation and provication back into heavy music, while also building a powerful community in the process. Introducing a new era for the band via singles like My World, COWABUNGA and Split (Kill It) in the lead-up to their 2022 album Cult Mentality, AVOID have also carved out an enviable reputation for their live performance, catapulting 90s/00s aesthetics and infectious hedonism into the modern day that has seen them in demand touring with Silent Planet, Dayseeker and Thornhill amongst many others.
